Moonridge Getaway, Big Bear, 3 Bedrooms**, Pool Table, Fireplace, Close to Ski Slopes
""Nice, affordable get away" Our family and friends had a very enjoyable weekend in Big Bear at the Moonridge Getaway. The kitchen was completely stocked with pots and pans, etc., which made cooking breakfasts and dinners for the troops easy. There is a grocery store about a mile away, so you can stock up on food after you arrive. We had no problem getting to the slopes. When we returned at night, the cabin was cozy and warm and had a nice flat screen TV and DVD player to watch movies on. If you have toddlers, make sure you bring something to block off the staircase so the little guys don't take a fall down the stairs (the bedrooms and the main bathroom are downstairs). The owners were very pleasant to interact with, and they gave us our entire deposit back immediately when we were done. We had a very nice time. Highly recommended. "We booked Moonridge Getaway for 2 nights and never left to go anywhere else. The back and side yard provided a perfect sledding and play ground for our children. There was plenty of snow and the children had a great time. The house had everything we needed for our short stay. The owner Angie was very easy to work with and prompt to all the questions and requests. We enjoyed our stay." - Anonymous, Irvine, CA, 03/22/10
""Great Getaway Close to Home" This was a clean and cozy home for my family to escape to for a couple of days. It was my son's first time to the snow and he loved it. This home had all the amenities needed for a family gathering. Thank you for your lovely cabin. Review entered by guest on Tripadvisor website 3/10/10. Dates of stay: 3/6-3/8/10. ""Fun snowplay!!!" We spent three nights in the cabin and our family really enjoyed it. The kids were about to walk right outside the cabin and play on about three different long sled runs. The kitchen was stocked nicely and we really enjoyed playing pool. You can park a few cars right outside the cabin with no stairs to climb when entering the house. ""Relaxing in the snow" Nice cabin. Nice decor throughout. Great kids room. We went to sled and the hill was perfect it was long and steep enough for all ages and could add a little jump if wanted. Angie was great with arrangements and entire rental process. Review entered by guest on Tripadvisor website 2/18/10. Dates of stay: 2/5-7/10." - Tanya S., Westminster, California, 02/21/10
""Relaxing and Sledding" Cozy, clean, relaxing. Close to everything and easy to get to, but secluded and out of the way. We enjoyed playing at the house and in the yard, and also found great inner tubing and sledding locations nearby as well. My son found plenty of new games and toys to play with and loved both the top and bottom beds in the bunk. Also, it really is great to have great communication when your renting direct. Our trip was somewhat last minute. Rob and Angie responded quickly to allow us to make it happen. Before, during, and after, someone was always there with a quick answer. Bottom line: Two thumbs up. ""cozy clean cabin" We very much enjoyed the Moonridge Getaway! The cabin was very well decorated and clean, and cozy! The kitchen was especially spacious and comfortable. The kids room is fun -with tons of movies and the game cube was esppecially wel liked. The neighborhood is really peaceful and beautiful and the location is fantastic! Our only issue was that we ate in each evening, and since it claimed to sleep 7 people, it would have been great to have 7 dining chairs (there are only 6). Also- no dining room table, only the island/bar in the kitchen area (which is quite large). The owners are really incredible about their service, quick responses, very organized and helpful!! Thank you! Review entered by guest on Tripadvisor website 2/7/10. Dates of stay: 1/28-1/31/10." - Sharon M., Los Angeles, California, 02/07/10
""Such a cozy home!" Angie went above and beyond with her service! She e-mailed me on her Thanksgiving holiday to notify me of a sale on snow suits for my girls. She called the night before we left to explain the road conditions and to recommend that we get gas and groceries before coming up the mountain due to road closures. She even checked in on us while we were driving up to make sure we were okay. There had just been the biggest snow storm in years and it was nice to have advanced notice of the conditions so we could be prepared. When we got to the home there was access to the driveway and the walkway to the porch. Most of the homes in the area were snowed in. It was so nice to pull up and just unload the car! The home looks exactly like it does online, warm and cozy! The fireplace was wonderful. We never used the pool table, but probably will if we go back when the girls are older. Angie had a book listing things to do in the area which was nice since we weren't familiar with anything. The house is centrally located. Very close to the groceries, just minutes to Bear Mountain and not far from the village. Lots to do in every direction. With all there was to do around us, we still spent most of our time at home. The girls loved playing in the yard that had a great slope on the side. They also loved the squirrels that seemed to be everywhere. So fun watching them in the snow! The living room and kitchen felt like home. They had everything we could need. All the beds were super cozy... I know, because my little ones were scared being away from home and I slept in each bed... keeping them company! I especially liked the bottom bunk! :) It was such a nice trip and probably the most relaxing vacation my husband has taken in years. He is not a fan of the snow... but had a wonderful time on this trip. He would actually go back...and of course the girls and I can't wait for next year! The only thing that I would add... but didn't really "need" was a washer and dryer. It was an awesome time! Review entered by guest on Tripadvisor website 2/6/10. Dates of stay: 1/25-1/28/10." - Rebecca S., San Diego, California, 02/07/10
""Great place to be with the family!" We had a fantastic time. We had guests from out of the country and their experience was awesome. My kids and husband loved the sleeding and playing games and I enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace. I would recommend this cabin and WE look forward to returing soon. Thanks for a great place!!! ""Great Sledding!" Great, comfortable cabin with awesome sledding hill. The kids loved it! Review entered by guest in Tripadvisor 1/16/10. Dates of stay: 1/8-1/11/10." - Erin R., Chula Vista, California, 01/17/10
""First Sledding trip for kids" Moonridge Getaway was great for our needs. Two kids under 5 and my husband and I. The kids were able to get some slick sleddin in next to the property. The drive to the sledding hills as part of the national forest wasn't too far. We loved the kitchen to make our meals. Every pot, spoon, or potholder needed was in the drawer. Very quaint. The kids loved the bunkbeds and thought it was so cool to have a TV in their room. Great hot water. Loved playing a game of pool with my honey when the kids were in bed. Cozy fireplace while drinking hot cocoa. Since my trip, 3 people asked me for the information on where I stayed and I'm happy to recommend it to them. Review entered by guest in Tripadvisor 1/12/10. ""Family Vacation" This was a great find for us. We found this house to be perfect for our family and even a few friends. It was clean and the beds and furniture were updated. The kitchen was one of my favorite parts about the house because it felt more like home with the nice granite countertops. I also preferred renting directly from the owners and Angie was wonderful to work with. We look forward to coming back again next year. The Germain's Review entered by guest in Tripadvisor 1/7/10. "We stayed a week in the cabin during Christmas. We made one trip to the grocery store and never left the cabin! The level parking pad was handy. We saw other vehicles rolling into the street from steep driveways cause of the ice. The kids REALLY enjoyed sledding down the hill on the side of the house and building an igloo. The cabin had more than enough room for all 6 of us. The kids liked the bunk bed room and I liked that all of the beds were comfortable! The kitchen was great! We had all of the utencils and appliances we needed to cook a delicious Christmas dinner. We are definitely coming back to this cabin, it has everything you need for Big Bear!" - James M, Menifee,Ca, 01/04/10
""Dec 2009" We had a great time in Big Bear. Rob and Angie's cabin was excellent! It had everything we needed. Nicely appointed kitchen, cozy family room and comfortable bedrooms. It even comes with a perfect sledding hill! We would definitely stay there again. Angie was also very helpful and easy to work with! Thanks for a wonderful vacation. "This cabin was very modern and it goes without saying that the kitchen was wonderful. The advertisement of three bedrooms is somewhat accurate. It's actually 2 bedrooms with a den because one of the rooms (the one with bunk beds) doesn't have any closets. The only thing the cabin is missing is a washer and dryer and according to the owners they plan on adding one during their upgrade which should be coming soon. There is a slope on the side of the house and they had sleds the kids LOVED to play there. We spent many hours sledding and took many great pictures. Review entered by guest in Tripadvisor 12/20/09. Date of stay: 12/11- 12/14/09." - Marisa, San Diego, California, 12/23/09
"I was here November 20 to 23, and I can honestly say the only thing nicer than the Big Bear area was the beautifully decorated yet very comfortable cabin. The kitchen, in fact, put my kitchen at home to shame. The weather was wonderful and the area so quiet that walking around was a pleasure. There's just something about playing pool in front of a fireplace that satisfies my country craving. I would recommend this cabin to anyone." - Christine, Vista, Ca 92081, 11/23/09
"We stayed at your cabin between Aug 11-14, 2009 and the first thing we enjoyed was the awesome pool table. Kids definitely loved it and we played till late into the night. Next comes the well-equipped kitchen, everything you need and will ever need. Searching for squirrels and rabbits was en enjoyable past time. All in all, had a grand time in Big Bear. Kids should definitely try the Alpine water slide...if you have the time, go for the full day pass..it's well worth it." - wallace, kenny, jessica and belle, Bellflower, Ca, 08/16/09
"We stayed at the cabin from August 5th through 8th 2009. We had a great time. We enjoyed the cabin and pool table and explored Big Bear throughly. The mountain air was great especially at night. Would recommend cabin to anyone. It is pleasant and well equipped. We will probably return again one day." - Don and Jessica McFarland, Oceanside, California, 08/15/09

"We've stayed in Angie's cabin several times now, and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Angie has a fabulous sense of style. LOOOOVE the decor! The kitchen has clearly been upgraded and has brand new appliances and everything we needed. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. My daughter loved playing in the yard and can't wait for snow to sled down the hill. Angie was very responsive and had some great shopping and restaurant suggestions. We'll be back soon!!" - Anonymous, Carlsbad, CA, 06/19/09
"Great cabin great location! We stayed at the cabin during the first week in march with 4 adults and 3 young kids. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was a quick 10 minute drive to snow summit (5 mins to bear mtn) for a day of skiing and close to the village...although we ate in every night because Angie's kitchen had everything we needed. The cabin was warm and cozy and we felt right at home there. The kids loved watching a movie on the bunk beds after a full day of skiing. We hope to make it back for a summer trip." - The Cline Family, Redondo Beach, CA, 03/30/09
"We went up to the cabin Feb 27, 28 & 29 just after a huge snow storm. The decor and setup were very pleasing, we felt like we were in the outdoors but with all the luxuries we enjoy in our onwn home. The proximity to town and Snow Summit made things easy to hit the slopes and the stores. The kids enjoyed sleding on a hill just outside the front door of the cabin. We can't wait to make it back in the summer time so the kids can explore more of what big bear has to offer." - Gina, Carlsbad, CA, 03/11/09
"We currently stayed at the cabin on 02/06th to the 8th. We had a great time, the cabin is very well decorated and it's extremely cozy, we would definitely come back and recommended to anyone. The cabin is located up a hill and is very close to supermarkets and snow summit. We were happy to find this place. " - Robert & Maica Gartland , Carlsbad, 02/13/09
"What a great vacation getaway! The cabin is so lovely, warm, and inviting. The location was perfect for us -- close to the slopes and very easy to get to. We were all very comfortable and felt at home in the cabin. Angie and Rob have very thoughtfully appointed the cabin for comfort and enjoyment. Although we vacationed there in the winter, I'll bet summertime is just as lovely up at Big Bear, and we can't wait to return!" - The Young & Spenst Families, Carlsbad, CA & CC, T, 02/09/09
